Frequently asked questions
Short answers. The Help Center goes deeper.
- What is Red Cardinal Research?
- An independent research publication studying the systems shaping the next decade — markets, housing, artificial intelligence, defense, healthcare, frontier technology and human behaviour. We explain why things happen and how systems connect. Primary sources first, dated judgments, and public corrections when we are wrong.
- What is available for free?
- All published articles. The newsletter. Every calculator. The concept layer — definitions, why each idea matters, common mistakes, and where each concept breaks down. Company snapshots for all 100 companies. And three full company dossiers of your choosing once you create a free account.
- What is included with premium?
- Unlimited company dossiers, Connected Systems (the full concept map, dossier routing and research paths), the premium archive, and premium reports.
- How do the three free dossiers work?
- Create a free account, browse the RC 100, and open any three dossiers in full. You choose which — nothing is pre-selected. No card is required.
- Do the selected dossiers expire?
- No. Once opened, a dossier stays available on your account permanently. Note that an unlock is also permanent in the other direction: you cannot currently swap one for a different company, so choose companies you genuinely follow.
- How do I sign in?
- There is no password. Enter your email on the sign-in page and we email a one-time link that expires in an hour.
- How do I update my email preferences?
- Sign in and open Settings. Each email type can be switched on or off separately. Every email also carries an unsubscribe link.
- How do I manage or cancel my membership?
- Sign in, open your account, and choose Manage billing. That opens Stripe's portal, where you can change plan, update payment details, or cancel in one step.
- What happens after cancellation?
- You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for — nothing is cut off mid-period. After that your account reverts to the free tier. You keep your account, your saved research, and any dossiers you unlocked on the free tier. See the cancellation policy.
- How do I report a factual error?
- Use the contact form and choose Report an error. Tell us the article and the specific claim. Material corrections are published, not quietly edited — see the corrections policy.
- How are sources verified?
- Primary sources first. Every load-bearing claim needs a primary source and an independent check. And a striking, quotable number that appears in only one secondary source does not ship — a rule that has already caught several widely-repeated figures that turned out to be wrong. See editorial standards.
- How do I contact support?
- The contact form. Choose a category so it reaches the right place.
