Cancellation and Refund Policy
How to cancel, what happens next, and what we will and will not refund.

How to cancel
Sign in, open your account, and use Manage billing. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel in one step. You can also email support from the Contact page.
What happens when you cancel
Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then. Nothing is cut off mid-period.
After that date, your account reverts to the free tier. You keep:
- your account and sign-in
- your saved research
- any company dossiers you unlocked on the free tier
You lose unlimited dossier access, full Intelligence Profiles, and the premium concept layer including Connected Systems.
Renewals
Memberships renew automatically. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew yearly. We email before an annual renewal.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries. Access continues during the retry window as configured in Stripe. If payment ultimately fails, membership lapses to the free tier.
Refunds
These are our confirmed terms, adopted 4 August 2026. Nothing here overrides the consumer law where you live — where local law gives you a stronger right than this policy, that right stands.
- Monthly memberships are generally non-refundable once the billing period has begun.
- An initial annual purchase may be refunded if you ask within seven days.
- Annual renewals are generally non-refundable after renewal, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Duplicate or accidental charges are reviewed individually — write to us and we will look at it properly.
- Cancelling stops future billing.
- Access normally continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law in your jurisdiction.
Founding memberships are permanently limited
There are 100 founding memberships and there will never be more.
A founding seat is consumed permanently the moment it is purchased. If a founding member later cancels, that seat is not returned to the pool and is not resold. The count shown on the membership page is the number of seats never purchased — not the number of members currently active.
We say this plainly because the alternative is a scarcity claim that quietly refills, and a number that means nothing is worse than no number at all.
Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account by writing to us from the Contact page. What happens:
- Deleting your account does not cancel your billing. Cancel through the billing portal in your account first, or you will continue to be charged.
- Deleting removes your profile, preferences, saved research and dossier unlocks.
- Deleting does not automatically refund anything. The refund terms above still apply.
- If an active subscription still exists when you delete, you may create a new account with the same email and regain access for whatever remains of the period you paid for.
- We keep the records we are required to keep — payment and tax records live with Stripe, which remains the system of record for every transaction.
Self-serve deletion from inside your account is not yet built; today it is a request we handle by hand, usually within a few days.
