Corrections Policy

What we correct publicly

• Factual — a number, date, name or event was wrong
• Sourcing — a claim was attributed to a source that does not support it
• Framing — the claim was defensible but presented with more confidence than the evidence carried
• Evidence conflict — credible evidence existed on both sides and we presented one
• Thesis — the conclusion changed

What we do not log

Spelling, grammar, formatting, broken links, image swaps. Logging these buries the corrections that matter.

The test

Would a reader who acted on the original claim have been misled? If yes, it is logged. When we are genuinely unsure, we log it.

How it works

Corrections are appended, never edited away. The article carries a note at the corrected passage. If a conclusion changed, the note goes at the top. We do not silently edit published factual content.

Use the Contact page and choose Report an error. Tell us the article and the specific claim. We would rather hear it from you than not.
